About The Connie Erickson Foundation

Our mission, our story, and an unwavering commitment to hope.

Our Mission

"My mom, Connie Erickson, passed away Sept 12 2015 after battling pancreatic cancer for 18 months. Since then, I have made it my mission to raise money for pancreatic cancer research to ensure others can receive the support they deserve."

My team, The Connie Erickson Foundation, started walking in PurpleStride 5K run/walks in 2015. We did the “walk where you are” 5K in 2015, the Nashville PurpleStride in 2016, as well as the first Louisville PurpleStride. I am proud to say we were the second top fundraising team, donating over $10,000 to pancreatic cancer research. In 2017 we became the #1 PurpleStride team, raising over $21,000 for pancreatic cancer research.

Connie's Creations

Our biggest fundraiser to date has been developing a line of Connie's Creations note cards. My mom was an amazing artist, albeit a humble one. When I discovered her Zentangle artwork, I thought it was too beautiful to sit in a shoe box. I had the art professionally printed on high-quality note cards and began selling them. Each box contains 10 different designs. To date, we have sold well over 400 boxes of cards with proceeds going to pancreatic cancer research. We have since expanded Connie's Creations to include ceramic tiles, canvases, prints and more. We sell these items at shows throughout Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan.

Events & Fundraising

We host the 10th Annual Sip & Swirl on October 18th, 2025, a painting with a twist party, and are hard at work on our 9th Annual Connie Erickson Foundation Golf Outing at Walden Ponds Golf Course in Cincinnati on September 13th, 2025. Hole sponsors support all 18 holes, including hole-in-one prizes. Our sponsor Superior Acura even offers a new Acura MDX lease to the lucky person who sinks a hole in one. All proceeds benefit pancreatic cancer research.

Through our fundraisers and Connie's Creations sales, we continue to wage hope for those still fighting. It may be too late to save my mom, but our team at The Connie Erickson Foundation will not give up until we hear the words “a cure has been found for pancreatic cancer.”
